Halloween 2012

We went to the Treehouse Museum the Monday before Halloween. Can you tell Jacob likes his gun. I have to remind him that we only shoot animal that we are going to eat.

All ready to go Trick or Treating.

When I pulled out the Halloween decorations this year, Jacob didn't even want to get near them. Especially the tombstone with the eyes that light up. I turned it on and Jacob started screaming and was hitting it. It was quite hilarious.

The lighting is really bad in the video.

Pumpkin Patch

We sure loved the free hayride and pumpkin from J & J Garden Center. The land is beautiful and it was neat to see where they grow all of their plants. I think Jacob's favorite part of the hayride was wearing his gloves. He was quite fascinated by them.

Of course Daddy had to pick the biggest pumpkin there!

It took alot of convincing for him to stand next to this witch. Jacob was alot more scared of Halloween this year!

My Birthday... Last year in my 20s!

I was so lucky to be in Tucson for my birthday. I got to have lunch with my BFF Amy and Emma. Amy and I have been best friends since high school. I am so lucky to have such a good friend. I just wish we didn't live so far apart.
This picture is so funny! We are all trying to juggle our kids :)

I had my birthday dinner at Olive Garden. I loved spending time with my brother David.
I can't believe that I'm really 29. The years really do just fly bye the older I get.

Pinnacle Peak

Pinnacle Peak is known for their delicious mesquite broiled steak, huge portions, and "NO TIES ALLOWED" policy.

We broke the #1 rule of the resturant
"NO TIES WILL BE ALLOWED"
Video of our ties getting cut off.

Jacob with Grandpa on the train,

After they cut our ties off they stapled them to the wall.

Timpanogas Cave

We loved hiking up to Timpanogas Cave. Jake sure loved riding in the backpack!

All of the smoke is from a wildfire in the Eagle Mountain area.

The cave is beautiful!

The Dad's in my life

I'm thankful to have such a wonderful husband. Kelly is such a great Daddy to Jake. Jake loves his Dad and misses him when he goes to work. Jake is Kelly's pride and joy. Kelly is always willing to play with Jake and take care of him. We love you Daddy!!

I love my dad! Growing up he worked alot but I always remember that we had fun when he was home! He has a strong testimony of Jesus Christ and is a great example to me. He works hard and plays hard. He is always there when I need him. My dad taught me obedience, love, kindness, work ethic and self reliance. I miss being so far away from my dad. I'm a Daddy's girl.

I love my Grandpa too. He also works hard and loves his beagle dogs. I will always remember our visits to Illinois and how much fun I have being with my Grandpa.

Happy Father's Day!!

Kelly's Hobby: RC Airplanes

Kelly has a new hobby; flying RC Airplanes. Yes, he has crashed and rebuild his plane about three times but has improved alot. Kelly has spend most of his free time building his plane. Jacob loves watching Daddy fly airplanes. Everyday he asks to "fly airplane."
Video of Kelly flying his plane.

Grandma likes watching too!

HAFB Air Show

We had fun at the air show even though it rained. We got there Saturday morning and got to see two shows before it started pouring rain. They ended up canceling most of the show due to the rain storm. Our friends brought an easy up canopy which saved us from getting too wet. We had four people on each side carry it to the car so we could keep dry.

Right before it poured down raining.

My Mom

“There is no role in life more essential and more eternal than that of motherhood,”  Elder M. Russell Ballard

I am so grateful for my mom! Now that I'm a mom I'm even more grateful for the love that my mom has for me. My mom has always been there for me and I treasure the time I get to spend with my mom. Even from miles away we still talk on the phone or webcam almost daily. She has unconditional love and kindness for me and my brother. I couldn't ask for a better mom. Love you Mom! Happy Mother's Day!!!

Mother's Day

I’ve never really liked Mother’s Day especially before having Jacob. I remember not wanting to stand in church when they handed out the Mother’s Day gift. Kelly always made me take a gift but it just didn’t feel right. I know these feeling were wrong but even now thoughts of inadequacy creep into my mind. I often think of my single friends and those struggling with infertility and know how hard this day is for them.
I’m thankful for the atonement and knowledge of Jesus Christ that he suffered for my sins and that I can be forgiven of my mistakes as a mother, wife and daughter of God.  This Sunday I was reminded of the many blessings that God has given me; especially being a mother to Jacob.

When I picked up Jacob from the nursery at church he says, "Present for Daddy." It's obvious who he favors!
