Potty Training Update

Jacob is about 90% successful with peeing in the potty and 100% unsuccessful at pooping in the potty. He even went to nursery in underwear and had no accidents!
But, today he was downstairs and I was upstairs; he pooped on the floor and decided he should tell me. So guess what he did, he got a baby wipe and picked up the poop and carried it upstairs to show me. Oh course I laughed. At least he picked it up with a baby wipe, Right?!
So I need help; I need ideas on how to get Jacob to poop in the potty. I've tried to get him to sit on the potty when I think he has to poop but wont sit there long enough. Ugh!

Double Baby Shower for Kelly's Sisters

Lizzie
Shannon

I made the invitations.

I made these banners with my Cricut.

The food was Yummy!!
Guests decorated hairs bows and onesies for the two baby girls on the way.

I cut the fabric iron on letters and freezer paper stencils using my Cricut.

It took me weeks to prepare these onesies. Attendees had a choice to iron on design or use fabric paint with freezer paper stencils.

The two cute sisters with all the decorated onesies.
We had so much fun! I can't wait to meet baby Alizae and baby Emmrie!!

Potty Training Day 1

Pooh Bear was our "Baby wet doll"

I'm a big BOY!
I found a pin on pinterest about potty training in one day. (Read about it here) Today was day one. I call it a success. Yes, he had lots of accidents but after his nap he told me twice that he had to pee before going.

I started the day with putting underwear on Jacob and Pooh Bear. We put Pooh Bear on the potty and I just sneaked a medicine dropper full of water behind the Pooh Bear and pretended he peed. Pooh Bear got a treat. Then Pooh Bear had accidents on the floor (water in medicine dropper) then I would run from the spot of the accident to the potty saying “No pee pee on the floor pee pee on the potty!”, really fast 10 times back and forth. I did this every time with every accident. Sometimes I only did it 5 times when he got mad. I tried keep him positive, he would end up repeating what I said and would run back to the spot of the accident. I think he understands it now.

After every successful pee in the potty he got to choose if he wanted to call daddy or grandma and got a treat; he almost always choose grandma. Calling grandma was his favorite part!

Wish me luck on day two!

Easter 2012

Dying eggs

Present from Grandma Howard

Made bunny ears at the Treehouse Museum; he was scared of Peter Rabbit.

We had a wonderful Easter. Jacob's favorite part was opening up a plastic egg with candy and reading a scripture about Jesus everyday for a week. Jacob is still brings me the scriptures and says "scripture, egg". He now thinks every time we read scriptures he gets candy.

European DVD Art

Jacob got a special package from Grandma Andrews with this DVD in it. I remember watching this movie as a kid every year. I still remember all the songs.

Saline Sonogram Day

This week I meet with my infertility doctor. I knew that I would have to have a Saline Sonogram done before I attempt a frozen embryo transfer. A saline sonogram is not the same as the lovely vaginal ultrasound (no fun either).. it's very similar to the dye test or HSG (blogged about it here). Basically they insert saline through a catheter into the uterus to see in there better. For me this is really painful, this is the third time I have had this done and just like the other times I cried.

A saline sonogram is done to check for scarring, fibroids, polyps or anything that would hinder implantation. I am happy to say that everything looks great. There weren't even any cysts on my ovaries. Last year in May I had some cysts but they are gone now! The homeopathic medicine, acupuncture and a gluten free diet seams to be helping.

I haven't made a decision yet if I will blog about our FET cycle while I am going through it. I wasn't very open about our infertility before Jacob and now wish that I was more open about it at the time. So I can't decide but either way I will eventually bog about it.

Infertility has taught me about control. I have very little. Keep us in your prayers as our infertility journey continues.
