Jacob carrying Grandma's purse. We call it her bowling ball, since it weighs at least 10 pounds.

Another Angel Baby and One on the way
I've rewrote this post three times now. Did I say how much I hate the 1st trimester? Its been such a roller coaster and glad that I'm in the 2nd trimester now, even though I've been still throwing up (hoping that will go away soon). Anyways here is how its been...
We transfered two beautiful frozen embryos November 9th. The embryologist said they looked great and they were both hatching out. I took a pregnancy test 4 days after the transfer and it was positive. I had a feeling it was twins since it was so early to get a positive. At 4.5 weeks I got a HCG pregnancy blood test and it was high, three times higher than my other two pregnancies.
Then at 5.5 weeks I started bleeding, it was very similar to my miscarriage and I of course I got scared, fortunately it did stop within a few hours. I went to the doctor the next day and sure enough, I found out that it was twins. We saw two sacs but it was still too early to see any babies or heartbeats. The doctor noticed a blood sac or pocket of blood but couldn't tell much of anything else. They took another HCG blood test and called me later that day. It was bad news, the nursed said that my HCG dropped, they concluded that I was probably miscarrying one or both of them and I was told to come back over the weekend for another blood test. So, I waited Saturday and Sunday; I didn't even get out of bed, hoping somehow I could save one of them.
Monday morning finally came and I went in for another blood test. I patiently waited for the nurse to call. She finally called in the afternoon, I was expecting bad news. She said that there was a lab error on Friday and they missed a digit on my HCG results. My HCG had never went down and I was in fact still pregnant with twins. I was in shock.

Please Read This!
I read this a couple of days ago and haven't stopped thinking about it since. I woke up in the middle of the night and could not sleep thinking of this little girl. I took that as a sign that I needed to share this with my friends and family.

This is a picture of the dresser that killed the 3 year old girl. Its not huge or really tall like you would expect it to be.
At the end the mother says, "What really pisses me off is knowing people who know us, who knew her, who came to her wake and funeral, who have heard her story, who have children or children who visit their home and still choose to do nothing....The simply answer to why Meghan died is because her dresser was not secured. $5 and 15 minutes would have saved her life. It's that simple...Today, when I'm so deep in the pain I just can't fathom why anyone wouldn't do anything they can to avoid ever knowing this horror. "
Today, Kelly secured every piece of furniture to the wall. He simply bought L brackets from home depot and found the stud in the wall and screwed it to the stud and the furniture. It was $18 to secure 8 pieces of furniture. The peace of mind is worth it. Please secure all furniture and TV's and don't procrastinate!
Choose to do something please share this with others and like Meghan's Hope on FB!

Picture Wall
Every since I can remember I've always been indecisive about decisions I make, especially when it comes to decorating. I just can't decide what I like. So for the past two years that we have lived in our house I haven't put up a singe picture. A month ago I won a $25 gift certificate to the Wood Creations. I bought the large 11 by 14 frame with that and bought the two smaller frames with a two for one deal. I found the square frames at the DI for $2 each and painted them. Spent a total of $20!
Here is how I painted the stripped frames.

Halloween 2012
We went to the Treehouse Museum the Monday before Halloween. Can you tell Jacob likes his gun. I have to remind him that we only shoot animal that we are going to eat.
All ready to go Trick or Treating.
When I pulled out the Halloween decorations this year, Jacob didn't even want to get near them. Especially the tombstone with the eyes that light up. I turned it on and Jacob started screaming and was hitting it. It was quite hilarious.
The lighting is really bad in the video.
